Everything May Be Music

Performance

Ticket price: €15

Theatre and sound performance based on the works of: John Cage, George Maciunas, Nam June Paik, Yoko Ono, La Monte, Robert Filliou, George Brecht, Giuseppe Chiari

Nothing is predictable: everyday objects become musical instruments, the audience becomes part of the action, silence finds a voice, and the simplest gesture is transformed into a sound event.

A tribute to Fluxus free spirit, where sound, gesture, and everyday life merge in an unpredictable interplay in a nonstop two-hour marathon show. Every object can become an instrument, every action a sonic act, music opens itself to chance, irony, and the poetry of the moment.

Fluxus is an international artistic movement born in the early 1960s, which radically questioned the boundaries between artistic disciplines, between art and life, between author and audience. More than a style or a movement, Fluxus was an attitude, an open and experimental practice that involved artists, musicians, performers, and poets in Europe, the United States, and Japan. Associated with the figure of George Maciunas, Fluxus brought together artists such as Nam June Paik, Yoko Ono, Dick Higgins, and many others, and was profoundly influenced by the musical thought of John Cage.
